He has been Director of Departament, Chairman of the Physics Program of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation and he is a Spanish Representative for the EU Programs. Since 1996, he has been the Director of the Sitges Conference on Statistical Physics.

  • Professor of Molecular Biology and founder of the Molecular Biotechnology Department at the University of Gdansk, Poland.  With over thirty years of research experience in bacterial and bacteriophage molecular biology, bionanotechnology, regenerative medicine, and anti-cancer therapies, he has developed innovative gene cloning and expression technologies, including the patented DNA FACE™ platform for creating programmable concatemeric proteins. Author of high-impact publications and holder of patents, he has contributed more than 70 molecular biotechnology methods and products.

  • He has been with the Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology Cracow's Urooncological Clinic since 2002. A urologist and general surgeon, he specializes in urooncology and is an EBU fellow. Previously, he worked at Collegium Medicum Jagiellonian University and St. Raphael Hospital in Cracow, Poland.

Focused on the role systemic inflammatory reaction in cancer formation and progression. Master of public health with interest in cancer epidemiology. Previously, he worked at the Jagiellonian University - Collegium Medicum and Andzrzej Frycz-Modrzewski Krakow University.

  • currently works as a CEO for the Institute of Pathology Kaufbeuren/Ravensburg, Germany; Medical doctor and pathologist, specialised in cancer diagnostics and research. Worked at University clinics in Mainz and Regensburg and Max-Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research in Bad Nauheim.

  • A Senior Research Officer at the Oral Cancer Research & Coordinating Centre (OCRCC), Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya (Malaysia). Active in cancer research especially in the area of cancer cell biology, cellular senescence, cancer biomarkers discovery and early detection tools for cancer.

  • Agnieszka brings extensive expertise in securing EU funds across various funding mechanisms, successfully raising nearly PLN 100 million for life sciences and IT (AI/ML) projects. With five years as part of the Bridge Alfa investment fund, she has mentored pre-seed companies, guiding them through critical early stages of development. As a seasoned Project Manager, Agnieszka has managed five R&D projects from inception through execution, ensuring their successful progression.

  • Janusz Ryś (prof. dr hab. med.) is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, Medical University of Kraków (1984), specialist in pathomorphology (1991). Since 2002, he has been the Head of the Department of Tumour Pathomorphology at the M. Skłodowska-Curie National Cancer Institute, Krakow Branch, and since 2021, the Director of the Krakow Branch of the M. Skłodowska-Curie National Cancer Institute. He is an author and co-author of nearly 200 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals from the Philadelphia list. His main scientific interests include the pathology of soft tissue and breast cancer and the role of immunohistochemical tests in diagnostics and prognosis evaluation in patients with malignant tumours. He is an initiator and co-organiser of a regular international conference - Annual Course of Academy of Immunohistochemistry. Diagnostic Immunohistochemistry and Molecular Pathology.

  • Grit has > 20 years of experience in biopharmaceutical R&D in multiple drug discovery programs from inception to clinical phase 1 across multiple indications. She is actively consulting biotech startups and had leading positions in different biotech companies e.g. Jerini AG and Eternygen GmbH.

  • Professor of Head & Neck Cancer. His experience lies in squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) with a particular interest in the role of senescence as both a tumour-suppressive and promoting phenomenon.
